@Kojo you are the one who started with the polictics so don't blame anyone for being political. Your entire statement was blinded by politics. This is a lose to the state and we should be interested in our development but you chose to use it for blind campaign
@Kwasi or whatever your name is. Check my second message i.e "Re:@Kojo" if I didn't condemn the reckless and diabolical parking of the truck on the rail tracks. Stop insulting people needlessly because of politics.
@NKD, you're absolutely right. Indiscipline across the breadth and length of the country is killing us. But again, who is to blame? Politicians!!!! They are the ultimate beneficiaries of the folly and indiscipline of the people so they don't care about reviewing constitutional limitations, addressing the problems and enforcing the laws. We have seen how Akufo Addo in particular has enjoyed the "too much" powers conferred on presidents by the constitution and has exercised so much indiscretion forcing hard working non-conformist people ike Domelovo out office and appoint square pegs to round holes, appointment issues with the IGP, filling of supreme court and the EC with party people, etc. How would he allow any attempt for constitutional review even though this has become a topical discussion in recent times. These are the reasons why existing laws cannot be enforced and more effective ones cannot be made either and guIIible citizens also take advantage of the weak systems.
@Kojo or whatever your real name is, why did you not condemn the parking of such a vehicle on a railway line. Are you okay upstairs bro?
The Man Jesus was right, he quotes; ''Happy are the poor in spirit for………’’ In other words sadness will be yours who are rich in spirit/spirituality for you shall suffer. In Africa, Ghana, we are so rich and well skilled in spirituality, witchcraft, wicked propaganda, wizards, juju, sorcery, bewitchments, soothsaying, divination, and the likes, but none of these have helped us since independence. ‘’Abroo ne beyie’’ have filled us to the brim. How on earth could this happen, such a beautiful and helpful venture that will benefit the masses could be met with such a catastrophe. May God have mercy on us.
You the person insulting other commenters, don't you see that you are the one who is ***barred word*** and arrogant? Who awards contracts to contractors? Because ethe 10% or more cuts the politicians have in contracts, they overlook so many things including quality assurance checks which make contractors go away with so many things. In this case, how do you know that the contractor didn't do their checks and everything was fine at that time? Hasn't the rail tracks construction completed a long time ago? So now, it's the responsibility of the ministry of railways and their technocrats to do these important checks. Is not politicians in charge of the ministry? And those pointing accusing fingers at NDC, if this is truly a political sabotage, then it's more likely to be coming from the NPP than the NDC. You will know this if you have the ability to reason and do proper intellectual analysis.
Reading all the comments, I see Ghanaians, pained by this sad event expressing their opinions. What we are missing here is whether road traffic regulations allow one to park close to a rail line (and more so, across a rail line) irrespective of whether it is in use or not. The indiscipline in our system is suffocating us in all spheres of our national life. We just do not care. We ain't prepared to obey simple rules, guidelines, or regulations that are meant to make life meaningful for us. For instance, diving in Accra, you dare not stop behind a pedestrian crossing because of traffic. You do so and either you get another drive coming from behind to fix his/her vehicle in that space or hear drivers behind blaring their horns because they want you to close the gap between you and the vehicle in front. They do not care if by moving forward you will be right on the pedestrian crossing. Meanwhile, road regulations demand that so pedestrians can easily cross the road. In fact, some drivers even do not care about parking across rail lines - exactly what the driver in this story did, leading to this unfortunate incident. Indiscipline will kill us before we become wise.
Come to think of it, how were they able to get the truck there. There is no road crossing the railway at that area. They might have used a crane.
Testing is not run by the politicians. It is run by the contractor before handing over. STOP misusing your ignorance.
Look no further. The NDC chairman for that area must be arrested and lashed for this
