Nana Akufo Addo was adddressing the Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional area, the Nayiri, Naabohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga on Thursday, while on a thank you tour of the Northern Region.

He asked the Nayiri, for his support as his government takes over the reigns of the country to fulfill his many promises made during the electioneering campaign.

“To my Nayiri, you have to make special prayers for your son. He’s going to be the key figure in the reconstruction of the National Economy of our country. He’s going to be the Chairman of the Economic Management Committee and he’s going to need your personal prayers to make sure that he acts with wisdom on behalf of our people. The people of Nalerigu did not only vote for me, but also voted for their daughter to represent them in Parliament. She’s a very good choice, I want you, Nayiri to know that she’s going to be part of the Akufo Addo government as of 2017.
