My biological father is very tall, in fact and well built. I remember my father swear never to have anything to do with my mum and myself over an issue I still think was 'trivial'.
That marked the start of my difficult childhood. I nearly missed having an education because my mum who did petty trading then could not afford to keep me in school.
Everything turned around when mum met the Man I call father today.
Bluntly put, Mr. Amu is a short man and did not have any of what we call 'swag' today. But he has something powerful: a kind and loving heart. All that I am today is because of this man. He made me realize we are not what we look outside but what we have within.
It dawned on me that our Politicians were still not realizing how sophisticated we were becoming by virtue of our everyday life experiences. They should realize many other people have encountered situations similar to what I just shared and such utterances only insult the sensibilities of a large section of our society. I had decided not to vote this year but Nii Lantey Vanderpuije just won Akufo Addo an additional vote with this utterance.
I have to let the world know that your height and physical stature should not be an impediment to any greater heights we aspire. If it does, we would not have people like my kind hearted father Mr. Amu who changed my whole life.
