On behalf of the good people of Kwadaso constituency I would like to express our profound gratitude to the president for the honor bestowed on us by making our sub Metro a municipality.

I would like to also take this opportunity to congratulate the chief, opinion leaders and the good people of the Kwadaso sub Metro for demonstrating collectivism in our fight for independence which has finally yielded the needed results.

It may be recalled that the application for the creation of the municipality was made by the member of Parliament for the constituency Hon Dr SK Nuamah some months ago, which was triggered by the slow pace of development in the area.

There is no gainsaying to the fact that the constituency has not had it fair share of development, as it has been totally overshadowed by other sub metros in the Kumasi metropolis .This initiative would mean that the nine sub metros, which make up the constituency, would be a municipality and all resources would be directly focused on developing the area.

This move, albeit ambitious and promising, comes with its inherent challenges and responsibilities. I therefore urge all and sundry in the constituency to be steadfast and resolute in our resolve to seek nothing but development.

We should also stay united and forge ahead with a common purpose and together we shall surmount all challenges and restore the dignity of the area.

I am encouraged by the achievements chalked just within the first year of President Akufo-Addo’s government and I am hopeful and confident that this is the beginning of great things to happen with more developments in successive years.

Thanks you all once again and God be with you

Signed:

Hon Dr SK Nuamah, MP for Kwadaso
