Keta constituency is in the Volta Region of Ghana and it’s considered a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The opposition NDC has held on to power in the constituency since 1992 to date. Efforts made by the NPP and other political parties to take over have proved futile.
The NDC continuously takes the lead in both presidential and parliamentary election in this constituency per data compared from 1996 to 2016; often with a huge margin
The incumbent Member of Parliament who has occupied the seat since 2012 is Richard Quashigah. He is however not seeking reelection.
The new NDC parliamentary candidate for the upcoming December 7 election is Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey.
