Bia West constituency is located in the Western Region of Ghana and it’s considered a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The opposition NDC has held on to power in the constituency for years as efforts for the NPP to take over have been unsuccessful.
According to 1996 to 2016 election data, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin.
The incumbent Member of Parliament is Augustine Tawiah and he is seeking reelection in the upcoming December 7 election.
He will lock horns with Bernard Blay, popularly known as Commander General of the NPP who seeks to increase the gains of the party in the constituency.
