An unidentified man suspected to be a taxi driver has been found dead at Ayise near Jakai in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The body has since been deposited at the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital Morgue for Autopsy and identification.
Briefing DAILY GUIDE over the weekend, The Abura Dunkwa District Police Commander, DSP Bernard Twum Berimah, said the incident happened in the area on March 19, 2014.
He stated that his outfit had information from the Unit Committee Chairman of the area that a young man had been found dead by the roadside. He then dispatched his men to the scene.
DSP Twum Berimah added that preliminary investigations had it that the deceased might be a taxi driver whose car was snatched and later murdered during a struggle with his attackers.
He stressed the need for the public to help identify the body while investigations are ongoing to enable the police to fish out the perpetrators.
