Three persons have been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing various items worth GH10, 850 at Haatso, a suburb of Accra.
They are Emmanuel Apisigu, 19, a motor mechanic, Horlanyo Mensah, 19, an apprentice and prince Asare, 17, a trader.
Briefing the media, the Deputy Regional Police Commander, Assistance Commissioner of Police, (ACP) Timothy Yoosa Bonga said on April 6, at about midnight, the suspects scaled over the wall of a residence at Haatso Atomic, a suburb of Accra.
He said the suspects, armed with a cutter and a screw bar damaged a burglar-proofed window to gain access into an apartment where they made away with a 50-inch Thermo television set, laptop computers, iPods, a camera and mobile phones.
He said based upon intelligence, the suspects were arrested at their hideout at Alajo, and a search conducted on them revealed the said items.
