A Kumasi Circuit Court, presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire, has ordered a man caught with 669.60 grams of marijuana to be held in prison custody.
Kofi Nkrumah, alias ‘Kofi French’, 35, is facing a charge of possessing narcotic drug without authority.
He pleaded not guilty and would make his next appearance on Tuesday, November 22.
Police Inspector Owusu Agyeman told the court that the accused was arrested during a special operation carried out by the police to flush out drug peddlers at Ash-Town in Kumasi, on May 25.
He said the psychoactive drug was uncovered during a search conducted in his room.
Sample of the drug sent for forensic laboratory test proved that it was indeed marijuana.
