In a bid to inculcate the habit of reading in students, a new library complex has been erected at Abokobi, the capital of the Ga East Municipal Assembly.
The facility which is part of the Better Ghana Agenda seeks to encourage the students to read more which will go a long way in improving the standard of education in the area.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), John Kwao Sackey in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com reiterated governments efforts to bring education to the doorsteps of the people by constructing more of such facilities in the country.
Still in education, Mr. Sackey noted that more than 20 new school structures have been constructed to halt the shift system in schools in the municipality.
He added that the Nkwantanaang cluster of schools, near the Madina market has also fenced to prevent encroachment and also to ensure a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
