The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced Saturday, January 5, 2019, as the re-opening date for the Green track and final-year students under the senior high school (SHS) double-track system.

In a press release signed by its Head of Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, GES said: “Final-year students are to note that the early re-opening of their 2nd semester is to give them ample time to prepare towards the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)”.

The release observed that students on the Gold track who went for the Christmas break are also to report back to school to continue their 1st semester on the same 5th January, 2019.

It noted that all second-year form two and single-track students shall resume for second semester on March 1, 2019.

According to the release, “second semester for the Gold track begins on the 11th of May, 2019”.
