The Day is marked every year on May 28 to empower women and girls to access affordable quality care as their invaluable rights.

The occasion brought together some members of the GaDangme Community and opinion leaders to discuss issues relating to the improvement of women’s health in the country.

Ms Khadijah Ibrahim, the Youth Queen of Abokobi, said the celebration was to educate the participants to live a much healthier life as “Health is Wealth.”

She urged participants to adopt positive approaches to life as an example for the younger generation to emulate.
