The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the Ghana National Trust Fund is exploring the possibility of establishing offices in all the districts and municipalities in the region.
This is to enable those who donate to the fund to see how their monies are used in supporting the vulnerable and the physically challenged.
Major Stephen Ghansah (Rtd), Eastern Regional Chairman of the fund, said this at a fund raising reception held at Koforidua to show appreciation of the fund to people who had supported it over the years.
He thanked individuals and organisations who had supported it over the years.
The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Baba-Jamal, said the government alone could not provide for the needs of the vulnerable hence the need for non-governmental organizations to supplement the efforts of government.
He appealed to individuals and organizations to generously donate to the fund.
