The Ashanti Regional Police Command has assured football fans of absolute security protection during the World Cup qualifier between the senior national team, the Black Stars, and their Malian counterparts at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A press release signed by Chief Inspector Mohammed Tanko of the Public Affairs Unit, said more security personnel would be deployed to ensure peace and the safety of all during and after the match.
It, however, advised that fans should comport themselves since any act of lawlessness would not be countenanced.
The police also served notice that they would not allow people without accreditation or ticket entry into the stadium.
All journalists, sports personalities and others, who deserve accreditation, should therefore make sure they have them before making it to the gates.
