President John Evans Atta Mills says government will continue to equip the Ghana Armed Forces to enable them to discharge their Constitutional mandate of protecting the country's territorial integrity.

He said the need to do this has become critical more than ever before.

President Mills said with the oil and gas find the government is adequately resourcing the Navy and the Air Force so that they can effectively protect the country's marine and aviation spaces.

The President said this when be commissioned 105 officers into the Ghana Armed Forces at the Ghana Military Academy training School at Teshie in Accra.

President Mills asked the graduating cadets to be good ambassadors of Ghana and the Armed Forces.

He said as new challenges keep emerging they should be abreast of modern trends in their profession.

They should maintain good civilian-military relations especially at the time that the Armed Forces are going through transformational phases.

President Mills who is the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces presented the Sword of Honour to Senior Cadet Officer Kwame Owusu-Gyimah, for being the best all-round officer cadet.
