Police in the Eastern Region have arrested some persons believed to have engaged in various criminal activities at the on-going Kwahu Easter Festival.
The suspects were arrested for petty crimes such as pick protecting, stealing and others for having in their possession, dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
In an interview with Citi News, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Cephas Arthur indicated that the suspects will be screened and arraigned before court.
�We have to do so to ensure that evil doers are punished so that I will serve as a deterrent to future would be criminals others,� he said.
He noted that the Police will ensure that the Easter celebrations are devoid of criminal activities.
