President John Mahama has endorsed the Affirmative Action Bill on Women for onward submission to Parliament for passage.
The legislation when passed will ensure women participation and representation in all aspects of governance.
President Mahama gave the outright endorsement when representatives of women groups called on him at Flagstaff House in Accra.
The meeting is part of the Presidential Dialogue series.
The women groups were led by the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur.
