Government is expected to meet organized labor on Tuesday in an effort to convince the leadership abort their intended strike.
Organised labour announced the nationwide strike starting November 18 after government failed to reverse the recent increments in utility tariffs.
Speaking to Citi News, the Deputy Minister of Employment and labor relations, Antwi Bosiako Sekyere said �dialogue is the surest way of settling industrial actions. If you on a nationwide strike or demonstrations, after that we will still come back to the negotiation table so it is important for us to engage them in the dialogue so that we can have an amicable settlement of it�
Meanwhile the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) is also expected to meet with organized labor and other stakeholder groups on Tuesday to avert the announced strike.
