IMANI Ghana says it will support the legal action initiated by the Centre for Freedom and Accuracy (CFP) against the Bank of Ghana and SSNIT over the sale of Merchant Bank.
Imani Ghana earlier announced their intention to go to court to stop the sale of the bank to Fortiz Private Equity Fund Limited.
But in a latest twist, the executive director of Imani, Franklin Cudjoe has told Citi News that they would support the Centre for Freedom and Accuracy in court.
The think tank however hints if they are not satisfied with the outcome of the case, they will then file in their capacity.
On Thursday, an Accra Fast-track High Court adjourned the case.
Executive Director of the CFP Andrew Awuni is asking the court to place an interlocutory injunction on the transaction which he describes as shoddy.
