Appiah Stadium, a well-known serial caller, who crossed carpets from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the National Democratic Congress before the 2012 General Elections has fired salvoes at Ghana’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr Tony Aidoo.

According to him, the sheer arrogance and pomposity being displayed by Dr. Tony Aidoo leaves much to be desired and if not checked, could bring shame to the President who appointed him and mother Ghana. He claims Ghana’s Ambassador to the Netherlands put up an uncouth behaviour during the recent Black Stars versus Holland international friendly.

“…he must know that the President who appointed him is very a humble man and if nothing is done about Tony Aidoo’s attitude he will disgrace us all. He must learn not to treat Ghanaians, for whom he has been appointed as Ambassador, with contempt,” Appiah Stadium fumed on NEAT FM.

However, reacting to the allegations in a telephone interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso, the host of Me Man Nti, Ambassador DR. Tony Aidoo flatly denied the assertion that he is arrogant and further described Appiah Stadium as a “coward” for concealing the real reasons for his anger.

Dr. Aidoo disclosed that Appiah Stadium is peeved because “…in the Stadium during the football match between Ghana and the Netherlands, he asked me for money but I did not have any on me at the time but I told him politely that I only came to watch football and therefore did not have any on me”.

“…I later learnt Appiah had come looking for me at my office but I was already late for a meeting with the Speaker of the Dutch Parliament and could therefore not meet him...i could not set aside my official appointment to meet Appiah Stadium,” he stated.

But a furious Appiah Stadium who would not take kindly to any explanation threatened to report the conduct of Ambassador Tony Aidoo, which he deems unbefitting of a diplomat to President John Dramani Mahama.
