Akim Oda Divisional Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) have arrested 20 drivers for breaching road traffic rules and regulation.
The drivers were arrested when Akim Oda Divisional Motor Traffic and Transport Unite (MTTU) in collaboration with Drivers Vehicle Licenses Authority (DVLA), GPRTU and Ghana Fire Service
Commander of the MTTU, DSP Magnus Randolph Sam on Adom News said the exercise has become necessary in order to ensure accident free as Christmas approaches.
According to him, the arrested drivers will be arraigned before court to serve as a deterrent to other drivers who drive carelessly on the roads.
He therefore called on drivers to be mindful of the road markings warning, mandatory signs and avoid dangerous overtaking on roads.
