President John Mahama last Tuesday held talks with a former President of Israel, Mr Shimon Peres, in Brazzaville, Congo.
The two leaders, who were panelists at the second Forbes Afrique Forum, discussed issues relating to agriculture and how Israel's experiences and agricultural technology could help boost Ghana's drive to improve and mechanise its agricultural sector.
Speaking earlier at the main forum, President Mahama had said Ghana was working to make full use of the massive mobile phone penetration to reach out to farmers with new farming ideas.
He also noted that an effective digital component of the Ghana Commodity Exchange, which being developed, would benefit the country's farmers.
"Digital technology is a reliable technology to increase food production," he noted.
