A Kumasi Circuit Court has ruled over the thirteen (13) members of the pro-NPP vigilante group - "Delta Force" - who reportedly bolted from the courtroom when pandemonium broke out after the court ordered that they be remanded in custody.
There was unrestrained disorder at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Circuit Court days ago when the "Delta Force" stomed the law court to set free the 13 accused persons.
Following the invasion by the "Delta Force", the 13 accused persons reportedly absconded but later reported themselves to the Regional Police Command.
They were arraigned before Circuit Court 3 today.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Ekow Mensah ruling over the case, has fined each person a sum of GHC 2,400 equivalent to 200 penalty units and they were also made to sign a bond of conduct for 6 months or they will be jailed for 6months.
Peace FM's Ashati Regional Correspondent, Sampson Nyamekye filed a report on the morning programme 'Kokrokoo'.
Meanwhile, the accused persons are still standing trial with the offence on conspiracy to commit crime, assault on a public officer, causing unlawful damage and preventing a public officer from doing his lawful duty.
They will re-appear in court on 20th April for the case to be heard.

I was expecting better than what the court just ruled
Where is the original judge who remanded them earlier?
It seems most people commenting here didn't understand what the story is about. Please, the final ruling will be heared on 20th April. The ghc 2400 is a fine for each of the 13 members for running away from court. Hope you can now make nice comment!

Exactly my point.Thank you. The illiterates and the semi- illiterates are too many in the system. So sad for the nation.
Masa, those of you who thinks otherwise of this balance ruling by the court and are making propaganda out of it can GO BURN THE LA for all the rules of law and Justice of Ghana is concern ok .
The unfortunate thing about Ghana is that there is an large army of illiterate and semi literate people who also tend to be the noisiest.Have all those half-wits commenting on this matter read the story ? and if they have do they understand what they read?I know most of these people are NDC guys disappointed that the judge did not order the execution by firing squad of these guys they believe are their enemies and political adversaries. At least people should read stories through before running their mouths.
criminal judge. Bad precedence. what will happened when another group does the same. will the punishment be different and harsher. why are we dividing this small country. this is a very bad precedence. its a shame. judicial in politics. shame. this is not the country we want to build.
