The Christian Council has asked President Akufo Addo to be bold in declaring the country's stance on homosexuality. According to them, his statement was not clear enough.
Contributing to the debate in a Facebook post, Gabby said:
“The President is absolutely, legally right. Homosexuality is NOT a crime in Ghana. That does not necessarily mean that it is legal. What is a crime, per the law, is unnatural carnal knowledge - and that law was taken straight from the criminal code of England & Wales. Now, lawyers can argue over what is unnatural carnal knowledge to expand and narrow case law. Strictly speaking, having “unnatural carnal knowledge” with even your spouse (lawfully married) of the opposite sex may be construed as an offense! Now, you couples of ‘perverse’ proclivities do take a moment to think about that!”
“The President was also right to say that our society doesn’t seem yet ready for legalizing gay marriages. What we must all protect against is the culture of hate against any man or woman for their sexual orientation. You do not have to be pro-gay to respect your neighbour’s right to choose the one he or she wants to love.”

KB of West Chester, Ohio USA states some inaccurate claims. #1: Landslide vote? No, there was no landslide. The election was actually very close. It is a fact that the American Voters are very much evenly split. The truth is that Hillary Clinton received MORE votes than Trump, but Trump was awarded victory because of the counting of electoral votes that gave Trump's win in rural low-population states greater weight. #2: If you call Obama, as KB suggests, he would not verify the claims of KB about what cost the election. The election was manipulated with slander campaigns, lies, misinformation and fake stories against Clinton. The false information from the propaganda is what affected the election outcome. There have been investigations on the matter. #3: Political correctness is doing the righteous, moral, or ethical thing even when it inconveniences the majority or the dominant. This is not what determined the outcome of the election. #4: A particular portion of the population actually voted against cherished values that they claim to have regarding being faithful to a wife, opposing corrupt business practices, opposing insults spoken childishly and hatefully about opponents, opposing extreme dishonesty and lying, but it was important to them as a sense of comfort of having a powerful white man in office following the discomfort they experienced with a black leader.
Graby please we are not ready for this kind of arguments being respectful for whoever one wants to love. That’s absolutely ***barred word***.. Ghana is not English no matter u guys want to speak like English people. We would find a way to resist u guys if that’s the way u want to shift the debate NPP can never be Gay party get that straight into ur thick head. Come on... The President must not massage any words if he wants our support if it comes to this... Very disappointed.
Gabby stop bullshitting around ok. This is no law. We voted you into power and if it will cost me to vote you out I'll do it. We are no Europe. They are corrupted beyond repairs now. Their punishment awaits so don't think about using gh as an example
If NPP continues to thread on this path, they're done period! If they don't know they should call Obama and ask what cost the Democrat the election? The Liberals lost due to their inability to call a spade a spade...Political correctness. Other than that what would have made Trump a winner in a landslide election? The conservatives were waiting!...people and states did not vote on party lines anymore. We voted based on what we believe. If NDC would know how to capitalize on this agenda, the next election will be theirs. But the sad thing is that NDC cannot help Ghana...a loss for the whole nation...so sad and dangerous!
Thank you prof! Because of aid, you cannot take a religious and moral stand? That is disheartening.
Childish to defend he president. Is the English language that Kodfi Adam,Koku and the rest STRUGGLING to understand.Don't be Akuffo Addo right hand man. You look ***barred word*** if you do that.
