Fire has gutted the Dome Market in Accra Wednesday evening leaving properties worth thousands of cedis destroyed.
The fire, according to an eye witness account, begun few minutes after 7pm, and set several shops and structures ablaze as properties worth thousands of cedis got burned.
Ghana National Fire Service and Police personnel were at the market trying to put the situation under control.
Following up on the state of the market Thursday morning, there was a large crowd of traders and security personnel at the scene.
The affected area has been condoned off to ensure the safety of lives.
Probable cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be established.
