To hide his identity, he covers his face with mask and beads. For security reasons, he uses different prosthetic faces to help him in his line of duty. One can say his 'enemies' keep increasing as they are not comfortable with his style of investigation and this has led to some trying to force him to disclose his identity.
Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has been one of the trending topics in the country for weeks now.
The public screening of his documentary titled 'Number 12' generated a lot of controversy especially from Kennedy Agyepong who has sworn to expose Anas. Social media was subsequently swamped with numerous images alleged to be Anas.
Following the release of another 'image' of Anas, Kweku Baako says the investigative journalist is impassive by attempts to show his identity.
Speaking on Accra based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Programme Wednesday morning the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper said: "There's no fear in him (Anas), he's been empowered not to fear. If you have fear, you will have been neutralized, immobilized, that is what fear does and there is no fear in him. Fortunately, he's in good company when it comes to people who are not afraid of anything or anybody".
Kweku Baako, who does not understand why some people want to expose the identity of Anas at all cost added: "I wonder what the motive is? Because, If it is allegations of corruption, bribery, ineptitude, misconduct all that, that's fine. Those issues can be made and then we deal with it, but the very moment you are seeking... identify this man, is that him? Is that not him? I won't do it because I have been questioning the motive and what you seek to achieve with that. Especially, when in the last few weeks some people have been issuing threats against him... The motive in terms of the identity, I think is a very wicked one and I am not prepared to help anybody to continue engaging in that, that's the point. You must have a murderous intent to be concentrating on the issue of identity.

Kwaku Baako is a dogg
I think this Anas issue is not worthy to be discussed. Anyone who thinks Anas has done wrong should report him to the police or take him to court period. I wonder why we think speaking our minds on certain issues would change the stance when the court are there. For instance the removal of the EC you hear seasoned politician discussing it with passion and interpreting the law for everyone to understand that it was wrong to sack her. That maybe true but whoever interpret the law on panel discussion is not an authority so take to court for proper interpretation.
I am now happy Ghanaians are begining to think
I am happy people are beginning to appreciate the argument I started using Manneseh as an example. There are so many journalists out there who have made serious and daming revelations about politicians in this country and still known by the public; Almighty Manasseh did investigation on Mahama, Zoomlion and so on. Anas knows the way he blackmails people is criminal and those people especially those who pay him to drop his expose on them will harm him.
I am using everyone's comment on Anas saga to identify the corrupt ones. Eii, Ghanaians eat, breathe and drink corruption. Asem oo .They can't live without corruption. Come to USA, after you receive your paycheck, no money from anywhere. Unlike Ghana, where everyone wants to cut corners. smh Corrupt people. I was glad when Prez Obama REFUSED to give Ghana even a dollar. Prez Clinton and ***barred word*** gave when they visited Ghana. But Prez Obama was principled and I totally agree with him. Why give Americans taxpayers money to corrupt people? I am sure Prez Trump will tow the line of Prez Obama. NO MORE MONEY FOR $HITHOLE PEOPLE OF GHANA. CORRUPTION ENDEMIC COUNTRY. They hate you if you are not corrupt as they.
kweku baako and anas are all criminals...nnnonnsennnse
Kwasiasem Akwaakwa.. Even Despite one dealt in cocaine and now has his businesses now.... his company provided this platform for you .. if you dont know... Ken is a Brave man ..
after watching the video in which kweku baako made this comments, i have realized that fear has taken hold of their camp. his body language says it all. i almost cried for him when kwame sefa asked him if he is worried now that anas' identity has been exposed. i believe they cry behind the scenes knowing that anas could be killed. if u all believe anas is doing the right the right way why fear for his life? why shd he hide his identity? after all we are made to believe he comes in different forms. but they are all lies. even the masks he wears are too fake. in any case, he uses other ple to do the dirty work for him, so why will he hide his face if he believes he is doing the right thing. is he the only investigative journalist exposing corruption in this country? if yes then i have no case. if no then he is hiding his identity bcos of the evil intention behind what he is doing. look at how they are desperately going after those exposing him. if those ple's identity is not known, how can he investigate them? i dont have any problem who sees anas as their god after there is freedom of worship. but u have no right to insult ple who sees him as the dev1l. like they say one man's meat is another man's posson. if anas is a god in the coffee shop for the coffee mafias he is a cr1m1nal to me. let us keep our opinions to ourselves.
As a life long admirer of Malik Kwaku Baaki, i am fast losing hope in him as ardent follower and admirer of his courage, knowledge and wit. As the others on this platform have stated, if Manasseh Azure can expose corruption linked to ex-president mahama without hiding his face, he is the brave one not Anas who is the opposite. Ethics should guide every profession especially registered ones like journalism. Malik be objective. you are the last hope of the dinosaur era journalists. Pratt sold his soul and conscience for money, Harunah Attah for some substandard ambassadorial post, please don't lose your marbles for heavens sake.
Jeffrey, you've made a point. Manasseh if went to the extend of exposing the President in power without hiding his identity. That is brave.
