A group known as the Dagbon Forum, is demanding an apology from TV3 journalist, Komla Klutse for “disrespecting” Ya Naa Abukari II.
In a statement the group said: "Komla repeatedly asked the King if he had taste for finesse as shown in his reaction upon seeing the Jaguar car, donated by the Government, for the first time. He went further to hold the King’s hand, with emphasis on the Rolex watch he was wearing again repeating the issue of his love for finesse".
The group thus considers the journalist's action as "unprofessional, immature and total disrespect" to the newly-installed Regent of Dagbon, "in terms of his status, age and circumstances".
Below is a copy of the Dagbon Forum's statement.

I am happy that Dagbon Forum has come out with the statement. I was so angry when I was watching the video this morning. The disrespect was too much obvious and I don't understand that the people around our Able Yaa Naa allow he continuously saying those words and even went to an extend to hold the hand of the King asking the Camera to be directed to the watch. Please TV as organization should come out and make a statement to the whole country not only the people of Dabgon people because Yaa Naa is our King too.
Freedom of speech is destroying our core existence as a people and happy all comments agree on one thing. I am Ekow Koomson-Biney from Cape Coast and was extremely angry when I watched that interview and blame the people around Yaa Naa to allow the journalist to continue when he started on that note. Please Education is not only the classroom as Journalist in UK cannot even held the hands of the Prince or the girlfriend of the Prince in the name of interview. So these journalist are ms-behaving all over the place thinking they have some protection as the country encouraging freedom of speech, but all must know all things have a limit. God Bless Ghana. Ekow
That was unprofessional on the part of the journalist. He should apologise
Me too think holding the Yaa Naa's hand and passing comments about his watch wasn't right. Felt angry about it. Was he trying to say the Yaa Naa can't afford the watch or what? He didn't conduct the interview maturedly.
