Staff members of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have won the hearts of the chief and people of Esaase near Konongo in the Ashanti Region.

As a result, the Chief of Esaase has presented a citation through his Ankobeahene to the company in recognition of what the chief and his people have described as “ECG’s commitment to deliver service to their customers no matter what”.

Following a complaint by the people about two rotten poles in the community to the Konongo Business Centre, this was promptly addressed alongside the provision of two new transformers in the network.

A SHEP project in the community was also facilitated much to the delight of the residents of the community.

A source close to the ECG in the Ashanti Region told DAILY GUIDE that the honour would encourage them to do even more for their cherished customers.

The ECG in the Ashanti Region is reported to be doing extremely well in the area of service provision and PR maintenance.

Making the presentation in the picture is the Ankobeahene Nana Appiah Kubi who was accompanied by the Assemblyman, Patrick Nti and Unit Committee Member, Simon Adjei.

Receiving the citation on behalf of the Business Centre is Ing. Benjamin Hagan; next to him is Francis Owusu (Estimator).

Standing on the left hand side of the chief is Lawrence Opuni, the Accountant for the Business Centre; next to him is the Engineer for the Business Centre, Ing. Dominic Boateng and on the extreme right is the Commercial Officer, Martin Kusife.
