PARLIAMENT HAS been hit by power outage, forcing the House to temporarily suspend proceedings in the early hours of Wednesday, March 13.
DGN Online gathered that within 10 minutes after the business of the House started, was a total blackout.
Parliament’s Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system could not also run due to some faults it developed over the weekend.
The Director of Public Affairs in Parliament, Kate Addo, commenting on the development, indicated that steps were being taken to fix the UPS as soon as possible.
