Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has begun an online petition to get former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi prosecuted.
This petition follows the fact that months after the airing of his Number 12 exposé, no proper action has been taken in terms of prosecution against Mr. Nyantakyi by the ruling government.
In reaction to this during a panel discussion on Joy Newsfile programme Saturday, Kweku Baako said had he been informed of the petition, "I would have advised against it".
According to him, " . . it is a reflection of certain frustration within Tiger Eye that the process is slow paced not much is going on, so they reacted that way. Sentimentally I understand them but strictly speaking, I think that particularly online petition could have been shelved. That's my opinion. This is what has triggered the shadow boxing . . . forget about the petition which I think was needless . . . focus on the issue".
He, however, indicated that the fact that there is a petition online, does not mean Anas and Tiger Eye and the Attorney General are 'fighting'; 'they are working together'.

Kwaku, Anas was in a hurry for the courts to pronounce Nyantakyi guilty especially after his expulsion from FIFA and CAF. Their position was purely based on unethical behaviour of Kwasi which was against their regulation. The AG of Ghana is out to prosecute criminality and would therefore need all unedited videos and audios of meetings in Accra and Dubai. For example Nyantakyi claims $40,000 was given to him as reimbursement for tickets he financed for the Dubai meetings, Anas claims it was bribe money of $65,000. The Accra videos or audios of the meeting may clear that dispute. Anas, please be patient and produce the unedited videos or tapes if that had not been done already. The AG dept does not want to lose cases so easily. Definetely the truth would be told and remember defendents have the right to have all documents that will be put before the court for his or her trial if my information is right. Never engage in trials by public opinion.
Mr Baako tell Anas to give the full unedited copies of the videos to AG for verification before prosecution. gone are the days when just an edited video sent people home. Hon.KEN thanks for your eye opener to Ghanaians. now we can see the light.
"Ate gya"
KWEKU,KWEUKU,KWEKU BAAKO DON,t TWIST WHATEVER YOU SAID AT FIRST BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS ON RECORD.PLEASE SIT UPRIGHT AND LET US KNOW YOU VERY WELL;YOU CANNOT TELL LIES EVERY NOW AND THEN BECAUSE AS LONG AS YOU HAVE COVERED SIN GOD WILL UNCOVER YOUR SIN.WE WILL NOT,NOT AND NOT SIT AND LEAVE YOU SLIP THROUGH OUR FINGERS JUST LIKE THAT-AFTER ALL, YOU ARE THE TIME KEEPER OF ANAS salute
he knows it backfired that's why he's trying to dissociates himself from it. they planed it together. I am happy that A. G. wants to go by the law instead of the directives of Anas as it was then. I have always said that if Ghana's law had been always applied, those who had been sacked and punished because of this set up and entrapment journalism would have been freed.
of course he will be against it bcos it will not bring any money to the cartel. he supports any ev1?l plot that brings money to them. blackmailers!
