Spokesperson for the families of the three girls, Michael Hayford Grant says a planned protest over the three missing girls in Takoradi has been called off.
He explained to NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that, the planned demonstration has been cancelled because of an assurance by Child Rights International, a campaigner for the return of the girls.
“We planned to have a demonstration but that has been suspended because Child Rights are working hard to help us in collaborating with the Ghana Police Service to help us get our lovely sisters back,” he said.
Adding that, “We have asked all sympathizers to return home until further notice. We planned for this protest but it is unfortunate we have to suspend it so the authorities can work to bring our girls back.”
