Government has banned the waving of handkerchiefs in churches after resrtrictions were eased.
The move forms part of Coronavirus safety measures.
Minister of Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, made the call in an address at the Information Ministry’s press conference on Monday, June 1, 2020.
He also encouraged mosques to ensure the 'no mask no entry' policy.
He said mosques should designate a holding room for persons who may be sick to be isolated from the general worshippers.
He stated that mosques and churches must display COVID-19 educational materials at vantage points to remind worshippers about safety and social distancing measures.
