The Management of the GNPC Foundation on Wednesday,August 26, 2020 visited the chief an elders of the only village of stilts in Ghana Nzulezo in the Western Region.
The Foundation visited the village where they engaged the community leaders and assessed of a number of needs submitted to the Foundation.
The GNPC Foundation corporate social responsibility umbrella of GNPC has since its establishment being supporting communities with edifices to improve the standard of living.
Speaking to the management of the Foundation , the Chief of Nzulezo, Nana Takrika VII, said his community, though popular for its quality as a tourist site, struggle with basic amenities such as sanitary facilities, a health post and classroom infrastructure for their children’s education.
He however expressed his excitement over the Foundation’s visit and confidence that “the engagement would yield tangible outcome as the Foundation’s reputation precedes it for all the good works its undertaking across the country.”
“Sometimes, it feels as though we (the community) are as far from the thoughts of many, when development is concerned, as we are from land but I have faith in your team’s visit,” he added.
The Executive Director, Dr. Dominic Eduah, who led the team from the Foundation said GNPC’s commitment is to all Ghanaians and thus will continue to engage with various communities on ways to contributing to alleviating the conditions of people who need it the most.
