POLICE ON MANHUNT FOR ROBBERS WHO ATTACKED A BULLION VAN AT ABLEKUMA IN ACCRA
The Police are on a manhunt to arrest a gang of four robbers who attacked a bullion van at Ablekuma Fanmilk, a suburb of Accra and shot the Police escort who has unfortunately passed on.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the family of our deceased colleague in particular and all personnel of the Police Service in general.
We wish to assure the public that we will surely get the robbers arrested to face justice.

manhunt for what? it could have been prevented if the police have not deployed almost everyone of the intelligence personnel to Assin North to go and do the bidding of the government, the office is like a ghost office now, I bet they would have picked up intelligence if they were in Accra doing their normal work instead of campaigning for the governing party in the name of health screening in Assin North, we the insiders know this IGP is a disaster, always playing to the gallery with no success.
Why are we still using such vans as bullion vans. The BOG should enforce the use of proper armored bullion vans . The police should refuse to accompany such vans until the financial institutions do the right thing.
That driver and those that gave the money to the bullion van might have given hint. The robbers knew everything about the van.
1. How does a bullion van run out of fuel. I thought they were not supposed to stop under any circumstances. They don't even stop when the traffic light turns RED. 2. Why do they always set up the police escort to be killed. Sitting in that position in the front seat makes it impossible for him to use his weapon. 3. Has anyone heard a bullion van attacked whilst being escorted by soldiers? The soldiers are in the barracks bored because they have nothing to do. Give them the bullion escort job before they go on another Ashaiman rampage.
Why don't the police follow the bullion vans with a police car as being done by the military recently? But rather sit in front of the bullion van? I think the police administration must learn from the way the military escort the bullion vans and stop putting their officers in the bullion vans.
1. The driver is the number one suspect 2. Why should you even veer off your route to go and fill your tank 3. Couldn’t he have filled his tank in the morning before picking up the cash
Watching the footage closely, the bullion van driver is a suspect. 1. How did he know some people are following them? 2. Why did he reverse the vehicle as they got to the station? 3. Why did he run away immediately he reversed back to it's position. 4. Were they to take the sales of the filling station as their daily routine? 5. Why the police officer the only victim?
More questions need to be answered. 1. Why did the bank not fuel their vans before money is transported? 2. How come the driver was able to escape on hurt? 3. Is that the filling station they always buy fuel from. Over to you Ghanaians. The driver meed to answer some questions. Because if I'm an investigator, he be my first suspect.
So sad, if armed robbers can be that bold to launch an attack on a bullion van in broadday light more so in the capital where the head quarters of all the security agencies are located tells us that Ghanaians are not safe. We were in this country when similar attacks happened and we were told the bank of Ghana will procure bullet proof vans to curb if not eliminate completely this cancer. What has happened? Bet me , the so called authorities will soon come out with all sorts of knee jerk responses/ reactions and then go back to sleep. No wonder armed robbers/ criminals are having a field day in Ghana . Why won't ordinary citizens who can afford yearn to have guns. If a policeman with gun is not safe what about the ordinary market woman who travel long distances to do business. Check the interior minister when he's traveling , part from his personal body guard , two police pickups fully loaded with police men can be seen following him an indication that he doesn't feel safe with one bodyguard and yet one policeman is detailed to guard a bullion van with cash. God save us.
