The Ministry of National Security has debunked claims by the convenor of the Fix the Country Movement regarding a purported offer of some money to him by officials of the Ministry.
Here's a statement released by the Ministry a while ago.
The Ministry of National Security has taken notice of allegations made in a viral post by Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Convenor of the Fix the Country Movement, regarding a purported offer of $1,000,000.00 made to him by the Minister for National Security to compel him to cease his “activism”.
While it is acknowledged that the Ministers for National Security, and Finance, and other relevant stakeholders, in 2021, engaged the convenors of the Fix the Country Movement to listen to their concerns, it must be stated emphatically that no offer of money or appointment was made to persuade the group to end its “activism”.
The allegations made by Oliver Oliver Barker-Vormawor are thus false, unfounded, and a calculated attempt to hoodwink Ghanaians.
We challenge Mr Vomawoh to produce his claimed recording of the said inducement attempt failing which we urge the general public to ignore same and treat it with the utmost contempt it deserves.

Doctors ,Policemen , Engineers etc are all moving into politice .Our Politician wants to take all businesses so that they willl always money and power. In power they use third party conflict of interest , inflate budgt , curruption in the offices , loans kick back ( so their money is not sent to bank but in 'ghana must go').Increasing of taxes , high expenditure of Goverment , selective justice ,intimidation , secrete killiing ,high cost of living etc. If these continuous people might attack the ordinary ghananian who are doing their best or one day the youth will attack Politicians even the youngs once .We hope some of laws will be worked on for us to get the proper democracy what we have now is more of autocracy.
It is indeed very sad to note that in the absence of competence on the part of the NDC to campaign on policies as a message to attract the votes of the electorate, the NDC appears desperate and incompetent in various forms to employ diabolical and baseless propaganda to make the NPP government look bad. You simply can't win an election on the premise that the electorate is less intelligent and will therefore buy into any illusion that paints the ruling party as corrupt and irresponsible. I don't think Ghanaians are so disillusioned with the NPP that they will choose the Mahama-led NDC government over the Akufo-Addo government, despite the challenges the country is going through, not to underestimate the fact that it is a global problem.
Hmmmmm, for the minister of national security to meet with leadership of the protesters is in the right direction due to the security implications of such demonstrations. My problem has to do with the presence of the minister of finance at the said meeting. Not even the minister of interior, national security coordinator/ adviser , IGP all of whom have a responsibility for internal security issues were present at the meeting but the minister of finance? What convincing reasons can you ( national security minister) give for the presence of the finance minister at this meeting? What has the minister of finance got to do with demonstrations in Ghana? This is where the challenge is. The main challenge facing this particular NPP government is that their approach is always a knee jerk one. You should have gone back to history. What impact has previously held demonstrations have in the fortunes of this country? Nil. In Ghana, do the citizens have the right to demonstrate? If yes, let them. Going for court injunctions to stop demonstrations create an impression as if government has something to hide. You people are rather making this Vormawor boy looks popular through your needless actions
how can you threaten him with court action, the statement is enough, you dont spend precious time persecuting any issue in court. if the said gentleman have any prove let him come from what i know this is not a serious guy the state must waste money on he want to be in the good books of Mahama for future appoitments thats all. This so call called NDC chalatans are nothing but liars and crooks
I expected the ministry to threaten him with court actions, but they fell short of stating that. Does that mean what the gentleman is alleging is true? Come again ministry.
