Members of Akim Nsutam Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church in the Fanteakwa District had raised GH1,800 at a Fund Raising Rally towards the construction of a new church building.
Mr Daniel Amoako Dwomoh, Secretary of the Church, told the Ghana News Agency that the present church building was in a deplorable condition and there was the need to construct a new one.
He said work had already started and all efforts would be made to complete the project on schedule.
Mr Dwomoh said church members were providing communal labour and that funding was by individual contributions, tithes and annual harvests.
He mentioned other projects to be tackled to include Kindergarten block and rehabilitation of a 3-unit classroom block.
