Founder and head pastor of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare has said Christianity as a religion is rooted in miracles.
According to him it is only miracles that make the religion ‘unique’, “Take miracles out of Christianity and we just have another religion”, he noted.
“Creation was a miracle. How the world could have been created in six days, expect it was a miracle. Delivering the children of Israel out of Egypt was a miracle. Taking the children of Israel through the red sea is a miracle,” he said.
Opening the Festivals of Miracles at the independence square Tuesday evening, the presiding Bishop of Perez Chapel noted that “the virgin birth of Christ was a miracle”.
Bishop Agyinasare said further that the death and resurrection as well as the ascension of Christ was a miracle.
“The second coming of Christ will be a miracle” he stressed.
The Festival of Miracles is part of activities to mark Bishop Charles Agyinasare’s 35th anniversary in the ministry of God.
The four-day-event ends on Friday February 2, 2018.

Rev, I beg to disagree with your statement that the ROOT of Christianity is miracles....really?? Remember that the devil is able to counterfeit ALL the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Some "pastors" with demonic powers also perform miracles and that is why our ***barred word***, desperate church members flock the services of these so-called miracle workers. I am convinced beyond any doubt that the ROOT or FOUNDATION of Christianity is the WORD of GOD. If miracles and prophesies are to be authenticated by the Word of God as stipulated in the Bible, then how can miracles become the source/root of Christianity. The Word of God, the real ROOT, gives birth to miracles when faith is exercised in the word. The ripe orange fruits on a tree, like miracles, may be wonderfully attractive but it is the root of the tree which determines the quality, quantity and size of the fruits. The Word of God is the ROOT of Christianity....and the Word is Jesus. Without the Word you can do NOTHING!!! (John 15:5,7-8). We must teach believers to study the Word to show themselves approved of God and not to encourage them to seek after miracles. The Word is spirit and life and it is health (medicine) to all our flesh. (John 6:63 ; Proverbs 4:22).
