One person has been arrested following the murder of Rosemond Nyampong, a 32-year-old bank worker at her home at Baastona in Accra.
The suspect is a 25-year-old wielder.
Family members of Rosemond found her dead in her kitchen after she failed to go to work and calls to her mobile phone indicated that it had been switched off.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM�s Midday news, District Police Commander of the Sakumono Police station, Superintendent Alex Kojo Wowolor confirmed the arrest.
According to him, per their preliminary investigations and per the autopsy report, Rosemond who family members described as an easygoing person, died through strangling.
�He was arrested for about 10 days now and he had even been taken to court but so far his accounts are conflicting. Currently, he is on remand and assisting us in our investigations� superintendent Wowolor informed.
