Mr Julius Debrah, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has commended Ms Rita Odoley Sowah, the Municipal Chief Executive, for La Dadekotopon for enforcing sanitation bye-laws.
A congratulatory letter sent to the MCE by Mr Debrah and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said after emphasizing the need for all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to enforce their sanitation bye-laws during his working visit to Komenda-Edina-Uguafo-Abirem, the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly obeyed.
I am indeed delighted that shortly after this directive, the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly was the first to have six residents convicted for causing public nuisance, he said.
Mr Debrah said by this action, the Assembly had set the pace for others to follow and added I am very proud, while urging you to pursue this action to its logical conclusion by keeping residents in your communities on their toes.
