A Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus has collided with a Yutong bus, resulting in the death of six people on the Kasoa- Winneba road.
According to a report on Accra-based Adom FM, the Sprinter bus driver lost control of the steering wheel, resulting in the accident.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service, who arrived at the scene of the accident, had to cut through parts of the Sprinter bus in order to rescue some of the injured passengers who were later conveyed to the Winneba Government Hospital for treatment.
The Mercedes bus with registration number GE-5526-15 was said to be heading to Accra from Takoradi when it crashed with the Yutong bus with registration number GT-6454-10 at Gomoa-Buduatta junction in the Central Region around 10:00 pm on Thursday.
