Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on behalf of the Government, is wishing all Muslims in the country and abroad a blessed Ramadan and urged them to rededicate themselves to Allah.
A statement issued by the Office of the Vice President, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, said the 30-day fast is a period for introspection, sacrifice, endurance and great commitment to Allah.
It, therefore, entreated all Muslims to use the period to get closer to Allah and pray for the nation, the Government, their families and friends as well as for fellow Muslims and non-Muslims.
Muslims would start their annual Ramadan nationwide after sighting the moon.
