Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, Minister of Education, has entreated directors of education, heads of institutions and teachers to ensure that Physical Education (P.E), is given the needed attention in the curriculum.

He said, the freedom to develop physically, intellectually and moral power through physical education and sports must be guaranteed both within the education system and social life.

This was contained in an address read on his behalf, by the Eastern Regional Director of Education, Ms. Monica Ankrah at the official opening of the 33rd National Basic Schools Sports festival, being held at the Koforidua Senior High Technical School (K.S.H.T.S) at Koforidua.
