HTC has officially launched the HTC One mini 2, a compact, trimmed-down version of its flagship Android phone, the HTC One M8.
Visually, there are no big surprises here. The HTC One mini 2 has a 4.5-inch screen (as opposed to HTC One M8′s 5-inch form factor), and its looks are pretty much copied from its big brother. It also has the 5MP UltraPixel camera (but no secondary depth camera), metallic body, HTCs BoomSound sound, and the Sense 6 user interface.
And, just like the One, the One mini 2 will be available in the Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold choice of colors.
Internally, however, there are differences, which will hopefully reflect on the (yet unannounced) price the One mini 2 has a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, a pretty significant downgrade from the One M8′s Snapdragon 801 and 2GB of RAM.
