The Police say investigations into alleged attempts by some officials of the Electoral Commission to validate unsigned election record sheets in Savelugu at the weekend have been smooth.
They intend arraigning the suspects in the case before court immediately investigations are over.
The Public Relations Officer of the Northern regional Police command DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said other suspects named in the matter are being invited for questioning apart from the three suspects who are already in Police custody.
"After our investigations if there is the need to arraign them before court then we would do so but as it is now it is too early to say anything concerning this case.
"We are yet to invite some other persons whose names have also been invited".
Meanwhile, Civil Society group Forum for Governance and Justice has jumped to the defense of the electoral commission over the alleged fraudulent behavior of the three officials.
The groups Convener Dr. Clement Apaak says until investigations are over, it will be unwise to conclude that the electoral commission as an institution was a conspirator or condoned the alleged fraud.
