The MP for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, and a renowned anti-corruption crusader, Hon P. C. Appiah Ofori has said the new minimum wage of 3 Ghana cedis which was fixed by the National Tripartite Committee will not lead to any significant improvement in the standard of living of workers when cost of living remains high.
Hon. Appiah Ofori made the observation in an interview with Peace FM.
He said until corruption is curbed in the country, scarce resources which could have been used to develop the country would be stolen by some greedy and self-centered individuals.
Commenting on President Mills first ministerial reshuffle which came out yesterday, Hon. P. C. Appiah Ofori said, Parliament and the entire nation will lose the rich experience of the current majority leader, Hon. Alban Bagbin who has been appointed minister-designate for Water Resources, Works and Housing.
