The Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, Mr Antwi Boasiako-Sekyere, has urged cadres to see themselves as owners of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He reminded them that they did not joined the party, but formed it for others to join and so could not individually or as a group decide to abandoned the party they formed.

Mr Boasiako-Sekyere urged the cadres of the 31st December Revolution and the June Fourth Uprising to get to the grassroots occupy the tuft and mobilize the people for a total victory of the NDC in the 2012 elections.

He was speaking at a symposium organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the December 31st Revolution at Koforidua on Saturday under the theme: “Three decades of grassroots participation, Its relevance to the current political dispensation”.

The symposium was attended by cadres in the Eastern Region, the Municipal and District Chiefs Executives, Members of Parliament and Eastern Regional Executives of the NDC.
Dr Kwasi Akyem Apea-Kubi, Eastern Regional Minister, who chaired the function, reminded the cadres that it was only when the NDC stayed in power for long that it would be possible for all their aspirations to be realized.

He urged them not to make the current challenges facing some of them destroy all the opportunities that the party was having.
