The Minority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has opened fresh can of worms on the controversial Gh¢58 million judgment debt awarded NDC financier Alfred Woyome saying the state paid him an extra Gh¢34 m besides the Gh¢58m.

According to Honourable Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, he is in possession of some documents which indicate that Mr. Woyome was paid the additional money which is different from the initial Gh¢58 million making the rounds.

In an interview on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News on Monday, the Minority Leader revealed that the Gh¢58 million was the amount contained in the 2010 Auditor General’s report adding that the new figure of Gh¢34 million would be contained in the Auditor General’s report for 2011.

Mensah-Bonsu
He said “are you aware that Woyome has subsequently been paid additional 34 million for 2011, he has been paid additional 34 million in January 2011, April 2011 and September 2011. Deliberately we have not even spoken about that. ”

“In tranches of 10 million, 10 million, 14 million so total payments to Woyome is not even 58 million. He must be careful,” Mensah-Bonsu alleged.

“…so altogether the total payment that has been made to Woyome is not the 58 million, that was what was covered by the Auditor General’s report in 2010 but the total payment to Woyome is 92 million."
