Spokesperson for the Presidential candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has launched a blistering attack on Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa, a former presidential aspirant of the Convention Peoples Party for daring to take on Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, leader and founder of their party (PPP).
Richmond Keelson says he is pleasantly surprised that Prof. Akosa, in spite of his noted disgraceful acts, still has the temerity to go on air and attack Dr. Nduom.
According to him, Professor Akosa should be ashamed to even publicly comment on political issues, describing him as a discredited element.
Last week, the former CPP presidential aspirant labeled the PPP presidential candidate as a mole and traitor who had failed in his attempt to destroy the Nkrumahist front, when asked of his comments regarding the departure of the former flagbearer of the party.
But the Communications Director for the PPP, in an interview on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia, took Prof Akosa, who is a former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service to the cleaners, calling him shameless.
To him, he (Akosa) does not have the moral standing to denigrate the PPP and its flagbearer especially with the disgraceful albatross around his neck. He also wondered why Prof. Akosa did not have the courage to contest for the CPP flagbearership race, if he thought he was upright, adding that ever since Dr. Ndoum exited the CPP, leading members of the party have made it an agenda to tarnish his image.
If I were him, I would never open my mouth in Ghana politics; he shouldnt let me descend into the gutters with him. Ask him why he didnt have the courage enough to vie for the CPP presidential candidature? He thinks no one knows the things he is doing in his house? If I were to be him, I will be so much ashamed to even come on air to talk. Descending and condescending so low as to sleep with his house maid. He should keep quiet, such a discredited element insulting Paa Kwesi Nduom, he lashed.
Mr. Keelson also expressed disappointment at the fact that some elders do not think carefully before speaking.
We have reached a point where if you are an elder, you must think before you speak. Prof. Akosa was calling Dr. Nduom a mole and other things; I think (sometimes) we dont understand some of the words we use (in our discourse). What makes Dr. Nduom a mole? He (Nduom) is one person who has contributed immensely to the CPP and has played a major role in the affairs of the party so for Prof. Akosa who came into the party in the 2000s to call Nduom a mole, I think he doesnt understand the English word, he added.
