The leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, on Monday brought commercial activities in the Weija constituency to a standstill when he took his hope tour there.
Starting from the Chantan market, through the Alhaji lorry station to Israel and Lomnava, market women and residents mobbed the NPP presidential candidate as he walked through the markets and streets.
Lack of jobs, high cost of living, cost of school fees, bad roads amongst others were some of the issues concerning them.
Nana Addo reiterated his commitment to providing free senior high school education for all which attracted a thunderous applause from the crowd.
"We will also expand and modernize the Ghanaian economy to create more sustainable jobs for our youth and people," Nana Addo said.
On healthcare, Nana Addo said the NHIS will be revived and strengthened to work well for the people.
He also toured Santa Maria, Awoshie, Anyaa Market, Ablekuma Park and Agape.
Nana Addo will tour the Weija constituency again on Tuesday.
