The Supreme Court has dismissed the application for a review of the ruling in the case in which two former Ministers, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Dr. Omane Boamah on the purchase of a state bungalow.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Dr. Omane Boamah Deputy Sports Minister have accused the former minister of abusing his office in his attempt to purchase the No 2 Mungo Street in the Ridge residential area he was occupying at the time.
They claim the action by Jake Obetsebi Lamptey contravened Articles 20 (5) and 20 (6) and amounted to a gross abuse of the discretionary powers of a public officer.
On May 9, the case which started in 2008 was adjourned and a preliminary ruling for Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey had it that the plaintiffs should have gone to CHRAJ if they were alleging abuse of office and conflict of interest.
